Taking Refuge in the Buddha
Of what use is
It
If I give my ten lives to you
And you give it back to me
(the same thing happens when the chameleon
Looks into the mirror)
You think it perfect
The way it is. Birds in Paradise.
But I have the pain
Called the Great indifference
It was after all the last thing
Buddha did
To take flight.
I spent the whole life
Examining what was real
And what I believed
When I realized how relevant it was,
All reality disappeared
All my beliefs flashed on,
Then off.
