How Crow Changed Democracy
( How Crow changed Democracy)
Every night crow dipped his beak
in ink, and clicked his tongue at the sky.
Every morning the major noticed nothing new.
Every day the people went about their
business as usual.
One night crow was very busy
and decided to make a new center
in the sky and dipped his beak in ink -
pitch black newspaper ink it was,
and he was more frantic
more dark
than black his beak -
until finally he was done.
First the major took out his
microscope to examine it.
Then all the analysts and scientists
and finally the people all
could see it with their eyes.
It was plain as day.
There was a new center
in the sky.
